ZIEDOŠANAS AKCIJA

Latvijas Bibliotekāru biedrība (LBB) projekta “Bibliodoma” ietvaros no 2025. gada 13. oktobra līdz 18. novembrim organizēja ziedošanas akciju, aicinot Latvijas bibliotekāru saimi un visus bibliotēku draugus vienoties kopīgam ziedojumam divām mazām, bet drosmīgām bibliotēkām Ukrainas pierobežas ciemos, kuri šobrīd atrodas uz frontes līnijas – Harkivas apgabala Kupjanskas rajona  Ševčenkivskas ciema publiskajai bibliotēkai un Sumi apgabala Černečinas ciema publiskajai bibliotēkai.

Abām bibliotēkām ir nepieciešams papildināt savus krājumus ar aktuālāko literatūru ukraiņu valodā, jo tieši šobrīd krājumi ir pārskatīti un attīrīti, bet jaunu grāmatu piegāde apgrūtināta karadarbības un līdzekļu trūkuma dēļ.

Šīs mazās bibliotēkas Ukrainas iedzīvotājiem ir cerību salas, kur nostiprināt savu identitāti, lasot ukraiņu valodā, gūt emocionālu atbalstu lasīšanas procesā un sajust kopības garu.

Donation Campaign for Ukrainian Libraries!

We invited the community of Latvian librarians and other activists to join together in a collective donation for two small but courageous libraries located in villages near Ukraine’s border, currently on the front line – the Shevchenkivska Village Public Library in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region and the Chernechyna Village Public Library in the Sumy region.

Both libraries needed to replenish their collections with up-to-date literature in Ukrainian. Their holdings have recently been reviewed and cleaned, but the supply of new books is currently hindered by the ongoing war and lack of financial resources.

These small libraries serve as islands of hope for the people of Ukraine — places where they can strengthen their identity through reading in their native language, find emotional support, and feel a sense of community.

We are grateful to our colleagues and library lovers to contribute to the purchase of new books for the collections of Ukrainian libraries!
